britains got talent

Nemisis are a mixed male and female street dance crew based in Milton Keynes, founded by choreographer and lead dancer Isha Chirimuuta in 2007. Other members include Ally Irwin, Emmanuel Alade and Tapfuma ‘T’ Minya and recent addition in September 2009 Sasha Sherwood. The group had their first success at the 2007 Idance UK Championships where they won gold in the adult division, being the highest ranked and becoming the first dance crew to win the title based outside of London. A fantastic achievement as it was their first public performance as Nemisis. Following this success they started to build their profile on the dance scene around the UK, including performances at prestigious events; Choreographers Ball and Dancers Delight.

Nemisis auditioned for prime time ITV show Britain’s Got Talent in October 2007, they stormed through the heats gauging a massive fan base and hence secured a place in the 2008 final. From this TV success they instantly became stars and from a 28 date arena tour with Britain’s Got Talent built their popularity and fan base even further.

Nemisis now perform internationally at commercial events. Since the BGT live tour they have performed at over 300 events including for corporate giants RBS, Proctor & Gamble, Pizza Hut, Land Rover, MTV and Sky Sports, plus many more. They also had a fantastic residency at Butlins climaxing in a performance in front of 4500 people in Minehead alongside artists including N - Dubz, Austin Drage (X Factor) and Signature. To top it all off the self taught crew had the privilege to perform for the Royal School of Dance. Isha and the rest of the group continue to teach and hold workshops for ages ranging from children to adults. This is something they are passionate about and like to promote dance as great fun and a fitness work out. The whole crew are professional dancers who create and perform choreography to various styles such as commercial hip-hop, lockin', poppin', house, krumpin' and contemporary.
